ECE 405 Electrical and Computer Engineering Design Laboratory

Goals:

• To apply general design concepts and methodologies.
• The realization of the paper design from ECE 404.

Instructional Objectives:

By the progress report, week 6:

• Have gained experience in engineering design realization
• Understand scheduling for engineering design realization
• Understand design realization tradeoffs and compromises
• Know how to write a good test plan
• Know how to present an engineering design progress report both orally and in written format

By the progress report, week 10:

• Have gained more experience in engineering design realization
• Have a better understanding of scheduling for engineering design realization
• Have a better understanding of design realization tradeoffs and compromises
• Understand the importance of a good test plan
• Have gained experience in presenting an engineering design progress report both orally and in written format

By the final project presentation:

• Have gained much more experience in engineering design
• Have a much better understanding of scheduling for engineering design
• Have a much better understanding of design tradeoffs and compromises
• Have a much better understanding of the importance of a good test plan
• Understand the importance of participating in professional societies
• Understand the importance of lifelong learning to engineering
• Know how to present a complete engineering design both orally and in written format; and be able to demonstrate the prototype successfully
