Goals:
- To apply general design concepts and methodologies.
- The realization of the paper design from ECE 404.
Instructional Objectives:
By the progress report, week 6:
- Have gained experience in engineering design realization
- Understand scheduling for engineering design realization
- Understand design realization tradeoffs and compromises
- Know how to write a good test plan
- Know how to present an engineering design progress report both orally and in written
format
By the progress report, week 10:
- Have gained more experience in engineering design realization
- Have a better understanding of scheduling for engineering design realization
- Have a better understanding of design realization tradeoffs and compromises
- Understand the importance of a good test plan
- Have gained experience in presenting an engineering design progress report both orally and
in written format
By the final project presentation:
- Have gained much more experience in engineering design
- Have a much better understanding of scheduling for engineering design
- Have a much better understanding of design tradeoffs and compromises
- Have a much better understanding of the importance of a good test plan
- Understand the importance of participating in professional societies
- Understand the importance of lifelong learning to engineering
- Know how to present a complete engineering design both orally and in written format; and
be able to demonstrate the prototype successfully
