A model of Cahokia mounds that allows watching its evolution over time has been developed.  A second model more accurately combines and shows some actual landscape and archaeological data.
    The latest theories of development of Monk's Mound are demonstrated visually through the aid of a 'pull apart model'. It  incorporates several interactive functions including a feature that allows the user to test the acoustical properties associated with the design of the first terrace. In addition, the model allows the user to understand moisture patterns and develope multiple erosion patterns from the interface.
